This program will help you immerse in a completely different culture, and you'll practically be living another life for those couple of days. The learning and growth during such programs is immense, since you'll understand so much about their traditions, their festivals and not to forget, lots and lots of stories. The rejevunating mountain weather due to the close proximity with the Himalayas, mesmerizing views and extremely welcoming villagers are just an icing to the cake.

Note that only participants with ages 18 or above can take a part in this travel experience. The participants with ages less than 18 need to be accompanied with an adult or require a signed letter of consent from the nearest family member.

Note that meals and accommodation vary generally from experience to experience. For Life in a Pahadi Village, the participants will be divided into groups of 3-4 and will be allotted a homestay with a host family. The accommodation will have all the basic facilities, and are comfortable enough for the participants. Breakfast and lunch will be majorly with the hosts, while there will be a community dinner at the common area with all participants together.

All our experiences are assigned an Experience Captain and depending on the kind of experience, the Experience Captain remains in touch with the participants throughout the experience. For experiences lasting for 2 weeks or more, there are regular visits by the Experience Captain and participants can contact him/her 24/7 whether by chat or call. Moreover, there are local coordinators and TTW partners present on all the locations throughout the travel experience. For experiences lasting less than 2 weeks, depending on the difficulty of the travel experience, the Experience Captain usually meets the participants during the first day & last day or stays throughout the experience and participants can remain in touch with him/her 24/7 whether by chat or call. Moreover, there are local coordinators and TTW partners are present on all the locations throughout the travel experience. In addition to that, you can reach out to The Tarzan Way’s helplines 24/7 in case of any emergency.

The ideal duration for this program is 6 weeks and it covers an entire region of the country, so it is generally preferred by international travelers or the travelers from a different region in India. This recommendation does not suggest that Indian travelers can’t join the travel experience. In fact, participants from different regions prefer this program to explore the culture of the region covered in this experience.

Most of our travel experiences are in small groups consisting of 7-9 people, since we keep a cap of 15 people since we feel that in smaller groups travelers tend to connect more with each other and have a more comfortable and less chaotic overall journey.
